24 Imitation Sentences

1. Copy 15 sentences you like.  Include a list of sources after the sentences as a kind of “works cited”, but let the sentences sit on their own in a separate part of the page.

2. Choose some of the sentences to imitate. Your goal is not to imitate their content so much as their structure. Your sentences can be about anything you want. The key is to try to imitate the way the writer wrote the sentence. Aim to have the same number of clauses, the same punctuation, etc. But use your own words.
